Professor of Comparative Jurisprudence and a founding member of the Saudi Civil and Political Rights Association (ACPRA), he is a staunch defender of human rights. He led the defense team for the late Dr. Abdullah Al-Hamid and his brother Issa Al-Hamid. He has numerous research papers and studies, including those addressing the legitimacy of demonstrations and hunger strikes in Islamic law.
