The Human Dimension In His Detention
Due to the excessively tight shackles on his leg, his left leg has become swollen and discolored, indicating arterial blockage. His health has deteriorated to the point where he is at risk of losing one of his feet due to delays in receiving the necessary medical care. Efforts by the Libyan embassy in Saudi Arabia to expedite his urgent surgical procedure have been unsuccessful. He is plagued by suicidal thoughts as a result of the severe psychological crisis he is enduring.
