About The Detainee
A prominent human rights activist, he was known for his advocacy for human rights in Saudi Arabia, particularly for his activism against the wave of arrests targeting prisoners of conscience and individuals detained without charges or trial. He was arrested in 2013, along with a group of other human rights defenders, due to his defense of prisoners of conscience and his demands for freedom of expression and the citizens' right to voice their opinions.
