Time Line For Arrest
He was transferred from Mecca Prison to Al-Malaz Prison in Riyadh in preparation for his trial at the Specialized Criminal Court
He was sentenced by the Specialized Criminal Court to 6 years in prison, followed by a 6-year travel ban and a prohibition from using social media platforms
The verdict issued against him was upheld by the Court of Appeals
He began a hunger strike in protest against the ill-treatment he faced at Al-Ha’ir Prison, including being placed in a cell with mentally ill inmates. He ended the strike after one day when prison authorities responded to his demand to be moved out of the mentally ill inmates' cell
He requested to be transferred to Jizan Prison to be closer to his 80-year-old mother, who endures the hardship of traveling to visit him. However, the authorities did not respond to his request

He was transferred to the hospital after his health deteriorated
His sentence ended, but instead of being released, he was forcibly disappeared
