About The Detainee

He is a human rights defender and one of the founders of the Saudi Civil and Political Rights Association (ACPRA). He participated in several demonstrations demanding human rights in the Kingdom and has been arrested multiple times in 2007, 2008, and 2011. In the 2011 arrest, he was sentenced by the Specialized Criminal Court to 8 years in prison, with half of the sentence suspended, followed by a 4-year travel ban.
