Five Months Until the End of His Sentence… SANAD Calls for the Release of Hamoud Al-Omari
Mr. Hamoud bin Ali Al-Omari has about five months remaining of his nine-year sentence, set to end in September 2026, after being sentenced in December 2020 over freedom of expression-related charges, along with a four-year travel ban.
He was arbitrarily arrested during the September 2017 crackdown and has since faced serious abuses in Al-Ha’ir Prison, including physical and psychological torture and denial of legal representation.
SANAD Human Rights Organization calls for his immediate and unconditional release, given the arbitrary nature of his detention and trial.
