Naif Al-Sahafi: Behind Bars Without Guilt, When Does Injustice End?

Unjustly, the Saudi authorities have been detaining Naif Al-Sahafi since 2017 as part of the well-known September campaign.

During his detention, Al-Sahafi has been subjected to numerous violations, including enforced disappearance, cutting off his news from his family, in addition to being subjected to a secret and unfair trial in which he was not even allowed to appoint a lawyer. This trial ended with him being sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Specialized Criminal Court.

SANAD organisation demands the immediate release of Naif Al-Sahafi and all political prisoners, and calls on the international community to pressure the Saudi authorities to respect human rights, ensure the safety of all detainees, and emphasizes that freedom of expression is a fundamental right that must be respected in any country, and that true reform stems from respecting human rights.
