Bandar Al-Jahdali: Five Years of Arbitrary Detention Over Tweets About Unemployment

This marks the fifth anniversary of the arrest of young Saudi citizen Bandar Al-Jahdali in November 2019, without any legal justification. Since his detention, no information has been provided about the conditions of his imprisonment or any trial proceedings.

Bandar Al-Jahdali was arrested for tweets in which he criticized unemployment in Saudi Arabia and demanded a job opportunity.

The Sanad human rights organization calls on Saudi authorities to immediately release Bandar Al-Jahdali and provide him with appropriate compensation. The organization also demands the unconditional release of all prisoners of conscience.
