On the Sixth Anniversary of His Arrest: SANAD Calls for the Release of Khaled Al-Shahri
These days mark the sixth anniversary of the arrest of media activist Khaled Al-Shahri in March 2020 for expressing his opinion regarding an incident related to the coronavirus.
Since his arrest, Al-Shahri has been subjected to ill-treatment in prison. He has been denied contact with his family and prevented from appointing a lawyer, and no information is available about the status of his trial.
SANAD Human Rights Organization renews its call on the Saudi authorities to release him immediately and unconditionally, provide him with appropriate compensation, and release all prisoners of conscience.
