This move reflects the increasing crackdown on freedom of expression in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Al-Tuwaiti is a distinguished figure in Saudi society, with extensive experience in academia and the military. He holds a Ph.D. in Regional Economics and Public Finance from Syracuse University in the United States and has held multiple leadership positions in Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense, establishing himself as an influential voice in his field.

Sanad Human Rights Organization expresses deep concern over the continued detention of Dr. Al-Tuwaiti, emphasizing that his arrest is part of an escalating campaign targeting prisoners of conscience and human rights defenders in Saudi Arabia.
