On the third anniversary of his arrest, SANAD organisation calls for the release of Yemeni journalist Ali Mohsen Abu Luhum
These days mark the third anniversary of Ali Mohsen Abu Luhum’s arrest in August 2021, outside his home in Najran. He was detained due to tweets from anonymous accounts he denied owning. Despite this, Najran Court sentenced him to 15 years in prison in October 2021.
Abu Luhum, a Yemeni journalist, worked with various media outlets, including Yemen Times Radio and as the executive director of Al-Wadi TV in Saudi Arabia, where he had lived since 2015.
Sanad Organization urges the revocation of the unfair sentence against Abu Luhum, calling for his immediate and unconditional release, and for adequate compensation for the material and emotional damage he suffered.
