Third Anniversary of Yasmin Al-Ghafili’s Arrest: SANAD Organisation Calls for Her Immediate Release

These days mark the third anniversary of Yasmin Al-Ghafili’s arrest in May 2021 due to tweets in which she expressed her opinions on the X platform.

In addition to arbitrary detention, Yasmin Al-Ghafili was subjected to enforced disappearance and has not been seen since, except in a report broadcast by the official Al-Ekhbariya channel, which aimed to polish the image of Saudi prisons. Until now, she has neither been tried nor released.

SANAD Organisation for Human Rights calls on the Saudi authorities to immediately release Yasmin Al-Ghafili and all prisoners of conscience without any conditions.
