The Sanad Human Rights Organization calls for the release of Dr. Mohammed Musa Al-Sharif

The Saudi authorities continue to detain Dr. Mohammed Musa Al-Sharif since September 2017, where he is serving a 10-year prison sentence without any legal reasons.

In prison, Dr. Al-Sharif has been subjected to a number of serious violations, most notably what happened recently after undergoing surgery to remove a “hernia,” where the prison administration exacerbated his medical neglect by removing his bed from his cell, forcing him to lie on the floor, doubling his physical pain resulting from the surgery. The violations did not stop there; Dr. Al-Sharif was also deprived of water for long periods, reaching a point where he was screaming and moaning from extreme thirst, without receiving any response or intervention from the prison officials.

SANAD Organisation for Human Rights calls on the Saudi authorities for his immediate and unconditional release and for him to be compensated for the serious violations he has suffered.
