Abdullah Al-Dreibi: One and a Half Years Since Arrest and Enforced Disappearance

In May 2022, elements of the Saudi State Security raided the home of the young man, Abdullah Al-Dreibi, in Riyadh, confiscating all his electronic devices.

The day after the raid, the Saudi authorities summoned Al-Dreibi to the office of the Presidency of State Security, where he was arrested and forcibly disappeared, remaining missing to this day, more than a year and a half later.

Enforced disappearance is a serious crime that violates the most basic human rights, and Abdullah Al-Dreibi is one of dozens of detainees forcibly disappeared in Saudi Arabia, under the current repressive regime.

SANAD Organisation for Human Rights, urges the Saudi authorities to disclose the details of Abdullah Al-Dreibi’s arrest and demands his immediate and unconditional release. It also calls on the Saudi authorities to stop these grave human rights violations and to release all prisoners of conscience.
