Dr. Ibrahim Al-Nasser: Eight Years of Violations and Neglect Behind Bars

This week marks the eighth anniversary of the arbitrary arrest of Dr. Ibrahim bin Nasser Al-Nasser, who was detained on 11 September 2017 without any legal justification.

The Specialized Criminal Court initially sentenced him to only three months in prison. However, after that sentence expired, the Supreme Court extended it to three years, and later the Court of Appeal further increased his sentence to 15 years.

During his imprisonment, Dr. Al-Nasser has suffered multiple violations, including being denied the right to a lawyer, enforced disappearance for over a year and a half, being barred from contacting his family, and prolonged solitary confinement.

In light of these severe violations and the ongoing arbitrary deprivation of his basic rights, SANAD Human Rights Organization calls for his immediate and unconditional release, and for an end to all abusive measures against him.
