Sanad Organization Calls for the Immediate Release of Dr. Mohammed Al-Munajjid After Eight Years of Arbitrary Detention
Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Munajjid is nearing eight years in prison, as Saudi authorities have continued to detain him since September 2017 without any legal grounds, despite his age of over 64 years.
During his arbitrary detention, Al-Munajjid has suffered a series of severe human rights violations, including being denied the right to appoint a lawyer, being held in harsh conditions, and facing deliberate medical neglect despite suffering from several chronic illnesses, including diabetes. Sanad has also lost contact with him for some time.
Sanad Human Rights Organization strongly condemns the continued detention of Dr. Al-Munajjid, holding the Saudi authorities fully responsible for his physical and mental well-being, and calls for his immediate and unconditional release.
