SANAD organisation Calls for the Release of Zuhair Kutbi
The Saudi government continues to detain journalist Zuhair Kutbi without any legal basis for more than 1900 days.
Kutbi’s arrest in early 2019 was part of a campaign that included many academics and activists. His house was raided in a horrific manner, and his wife described the arrest process as terrifying hours for her and her daughters.
Kutbi suffers from prostate cancer and diabetes, and his health condition has significantly deteriorated. Despite this, the authorities continue to detain him, neglecting him medically in prison, and he has been placed in solitary confinement for several months.
SANAD Organisation for Human Rights calls on the Saudi authorities for the immediate release of Zuhair Kutbi without any conditions, to provide him with necessary compensation, and to release all prisoners of conscience.
