SANAD organisation calls for the release of human rights activist Mohammed Dalim Al-Qahtani
In January 2012, the Saudi authorities arrested the Islamic thinker and human rights activist Mohammed Dalim Al-Qahtani without regard for his old age and his suffering from a number of chronic diseases, and he remains in detention to this day.
In prison, Al-Qahtani was subjected to numerous serious violations, including solitary confinement, physical and psychological torture, and he also suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed on the left side of his body. Despite this, the Saudi authorities continue to detain him, in addition to suffering from a number of chronic diseases including diabetes and heart disease, and he is over 67 years old.
SANAD organisation calls on the Saudi authorities to immediately release Mohammed Dalim Al-Qahtani unconditionally, to compensate him adequately, to stop repressing those who express their opinions, to put an end to the escalating human rights violations, and to release all prisoners of conscience in Saudi Arabia.
