Six years since the arrest of Rakan Al-Asiri… SANAD calls for his release
These days mark the sixth anniversary of the arrest of media activist Rakan Al-Asiri in April 2020, as part of a crackdown targeting a number of activists in Saudi Arabia.
Following his arrest, Saudi authorities subjected him to various forms of pressure, including preventing him from contacting his family for several months, and forcing him to participate in a state TV program aimed at improving the image of prisons in Saudi Arabia.
SANAD Human Rights Organization calls on Saudi authorities to end Rakan Al-Asiri’s suffering, release him immediately and unconditionally, and stop all violations against him and his family.
