A Decade After His Arrest… Dr. Mohammed Al-Hudhaif Remains Behind Bars

These days mark the tenth anniversary of the arrest of Dr. Mohammed Al-Hudhaif on 19 March 2016, over politically motivated charges related to his reformist views and tweets.

Beyond his detention, he has been subjected to severe violations, including brutal torture (beatings and electric shocks), being held with psychiatric patients, and deliberate medical neglect. He was also tried in a secret and unlawful trial, initially sentenced to 9 years, later increased to 13 years without legal justification.

SANAD Human Rights Organization calls on Saudi authorities to immediately and unconditionally release Dr. Mohammed Al-Hudhaif, provide appropriate compensation, and release all prisoners of conscience.
