Sanad Organization Condemns the Continued Detention of Dr. Ali Al-Tuwaiti and Calls for His Immediate Release

Saudi authorities continue to detain Dr. Ali Al-Tuwaiti Al-Qurashi, a prominent writer and economic and strategic analyst, since September 2021 over tweets in which he criticized the policies of the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Al-Tuwaiti is regarded as a distinguished academic and military figure in Saudi Arabia. He holds a PhD in Regional Economics and Public Finance from Syracuse University in the United States and previously held senior positions within the Ministry of Defense.

Sanad Human Rights Organization condemns the ongoing detention of Dr. Ali Al-Tuwaiti Al-Qurashi, holds the Saudi authorities fully responsible for his safety, and calls for his immediate and unconditional release, as well as for the protection of his right to freedom of opinion and expression without restrictions.
