Sanad Calls for the Release of Khaled Al-Mahwash After 2,600 Days of Arbitrary Detention in Saudi Arabia
Educational counselor Khaled Al-Mahwash has completed 2,600 days of arbitrary detention in Saudi Arabia since September 2017, without any legal justification.
During his detention, Al-Mahwash has faced severe violations, including restricted contact with his family and a secret trial held a year after his arrest, in which he was denied the right to appoint a lawyer for his defense. This trial concluded with a 10-year prison sentence.
The Sanad human rights organization calls on Saudi authorities to revoke this arbitrary sentence and release Khaled Al-Mahwash immediately and unconditionally, asserting that his continued detention constitutes a violation of human rights and exacerbates the suffering of his family, who await his return.
