The third anniversary of the arrest of the Saudi academic Abdullah Al-Shahri

These days mark the third anniversary of the arrest of the Saudi academic and author Dr. Abdullah Al-Shahri in May 2021, after he criticized a television interview with Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Dr. Al-Shahri is an academic who studied Sharia, English and French at the Sorbonne University, and sociology in several countries, including the UK, the USA, and France. He has several published works.

The Saudi authorities must immediately release Al-Shahri unconditionally, compensate him appropriately, cease their ongoing repression campaigns against citizens and residents on Saudi soil, and release all prisoners of conscience.
