The continued detention of the media activist Mohammed Al-Fawzan Abu Noorah

The Saudi authorities continue to detain media activist Mohammed Al-Fawzan Abu Noorah since March 2020, due to old tweets and video clips in which he expressed his opinion.

Mohammed Al-Fawzan is an activist on social media platforms, with many volunteer campaigns, and has contributed to the media coverage of many activities carried out by the Saudi government. However, this did not prevent the Saudi authorities from detaining him without any crime or charge, and since his arrest, no trial has been disclosed, amid a refusal by the Saudi authorities to release him.

SANAD organisation emphasizes that freedom of opinion and expression is a fundamental human right and insists on the immediate and unconditional release of Abu Noorah, along with adequate compensation.
