SANAD organisation calls for the abolition of the arbitrary verdict against the Yemeni journalist Ali Mohsen Abu Luhoom.
In August 2021, Saudi security forces arrested Yemeni journalist Ali Mohsen Abu Luhum in front of his house in Najran.
The Najran court issued a ruling in October 2021, sentencing Abu Luhum to 15 years in prison due to tweets from fake accounts which Abu Luhum denied any connection to.
It is worth mentioning that Abu Luhum is a Yemeni journalist who worked for several media outlets, including the Yemeni radio “Yemen Times”, and he was the executive director of Al-Wadi television channel in Saudi Arabia. He settled in Saudi Arabia since 2015.
For its part, SANAD Organisation for Human Rights calls for the annulment of the arbitrary judgment against journalist Ali Mohsen Abu Luhum, his immediate release without any conditions, and to compensate him for the material and moral damage he has suffered.
