Nine Years Since the Arrest of Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Munajjid Amid Ongoing Violations and Loss of Contact
Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Munajjid has completed nine years behind bars since his arrest by Saudi authorities in September 2017 without legal justification. Now over 64 years old, he remains in detention amid growing concerns about his health and safety.
Throughout his years of arbitrary detention, Al-Munajjid has faced serious human rights violations, including denial of access to a lawyer, harsh detention conditions, and deliberate medical neglect despite suffering from chronic illnesses, including diabetes.
Concerns about his fate have intensified as SANAD Human Rights Organization has received no updates about him for some time, with no reliable information available regarding his detention conditions or health.
SANAD Human Rights Organization renews its condemnation of Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Munajjid’s continued detention and holds Saudi authorities fully responsible for his physical and psychological well-being. SANAD calls for his immediate and unconditional release and an end to the human rights violations he continues to endure.
