After more than two years of his arrest… Where is Dr. Abdullah Al-Ahdal?

The fate of Dr. Abdullah Al-Ahdal remains unknown since his arrest in Mecca in November 2023, reportedly over an article criticizing Arab leaders’ weak stance on the Gaza war.

Al-Ahdal, a Yemeni national, is a founding member of the Muslim World League and deputy head of the Council of Sunni Scholars in Hadramout. Since his arrest, no information has emerged about his whereabouts or detention conditions.
