After Nearly Three Months of Detention… Saudi Authorities Release Scholar Abu Al-Hasan Al-Ma’ribi
SANAD Human Rights Organization has learned that Saudi authorities have released the Yemeni scholar and President of the Ahl al-Hadith Association in Yemen, Mustafa Ismail Al-Sulaymani, known as Abu Al-Hasan Al-Ma’ribi, after nearly three months of arbitrary detention.
Saudi authorities arrested Abu Al-Hasan Al-Ma’ribi last September upon his arrival in the Kingdom to perform Umrah. His arrest is believed to be linked to his criticism of the so-called “Madkhali” movement, a religious trend aligned with the Saudi government.
SANAD congratulates Sheikh Abu Al-Hasan Al-Ma’ribi and his family on his release and wishes him continued health and safety. The organization also renews its call for the release of all prisoners of conscience, ensuring their fundamental rights and protecting their guaranteed freedoms.
