Saudi Authorities Continue Arbitrary Detention of Dr. Ibrahim Al-Yamani
Saudi authorities have continued to detain Dr. Ibrahim Al-Yamani since September 2017 without any legal grounds, as he nears eight years behind bars.
According to human rights sources, Al-Yamani was at one point transferred to a ward in Al-Ha’ir Prison that houses inmates accused of murder, theft, and drug trafficking, putting his life at serious risk.
He has also faced severe human rights violations, including prolonged solitary confinement, denial of family contact, being barred from appointing a lawyer, and secret trial sessions.
Sanad Human Rights Organization calls on Saudi authorities to immediately release him, ensure fair compensation, and free all prisoners of conscience in Saudi prisons.
