2,500 Days Since the Arrest of Sheikh Sami Al-Ghaib

It has been 2,500 days since the Saudi authorities arrested Sheikh Sami Al-Ghaib in September 2017 and forcibly disappeared him since that day.

The Saudi authorities have refused to disclose any details regarding Al-Ghaib’s arrest or its reasons, and he has not been presented before any judicial body to date. This is a fate shared by dozens of detainees in Saudi prisons amidst a rise in repression since Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman took control of the country.

SANAD Organisation for Human Rights calls on the Saudi authorities to disclose the circumstances of Al-Ghaib’s arrest, immediately release him, and compensate him for the harm he has suffered.
