2470 Days Since the Arrest of Dr. Ibrahim bin Nasser Al-Nasser
It has been more than 2,470 days since the arrest of Dr. Ibrahim bin Nasser Al-Nasser in September 2017 without any legal justification.
The Specialized Criminal Court initially sentenced Al-Nasser to three months in prison, but the Supreme Court overturned this ruling after its completion and extended his sentence to three years. After this period ended, the Court of Appeals further extended his imprisonment to 15 years, reflecting the Saudi authorities’ disregard for law and human rights.
It is noted that Al-Nasser has faced several violations in prison, including being denied the right to appoint a lawyer, being subjected to enforced disappearance for more than a year and a half, being prevented from communicating with his family, and being placed in solitary confinement.
